Do you enjoy your weekend, readers? Yes me too, even just doing "wife stuffs" hehehehe laundry, cleaning, iron clothes, then watch TV and finally that is making me crazy. Then I decided to go to my favorite place, near my boarding house and the important I can eat cake chocolate, or dounat chocolate hehehe and orange juice.

Yesterday, I did promise to tell you about Kerak Telur, the traditional food in Jakarta. Yea, finally I did eat that, the taste of  course like egg but with many variant in that up. Let's we see that :)

Kerak telor (English: Egg crust) is a Betawi traditional spicy omelette dish in Indonesian cuisine. It is made from glutinous rice cooked with egg and served with serundeng (fried shredded coconut), fried shallots and dried shrimp as topping.[1] It is considered as a snack and not as a main dish. The vendors of kerak telor are easily the most ubiquitous during annual Jakarta Fair and it has also become a must-have menu item for visitors at the even.


How to make this food :) Okey, I found the recipe and I try to translate in english version :p

ingredients:

     100 grams of white glutinous rice, washed and soaked with water approximately 2 hours.
     5 eggs duck.
     5 tablespoons fried onions.
     5 tablespoons serundeng.
     5 pieces chili pepper, finely sliced​​.
     5 teaspoons of salt.
     2 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder.
     2 1/2 teaspoons sugar.
     5 tablespoons dried shrimp powder.

How to Make Egg Recipes How To Make Crust (Betawi):

     Heat a frying pan until hot enough egg crust.
     Put one tablespoon of vegetable sticky rice soaked in water well, cover and cook about 2-3 minutes.
     Open the lid, then put 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of fried onions, 1 tbsp serundeng (
dry-fried grated coconut), 1/2 tbsp dried shrimp, 1 piece of cayenne pepper, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and 1/2 tsp sugar and stir well.
     Flatten the side of the frying pan approximately 20 cm in diameter, re-cover and cook until fragrant.
     Behind frying an egg crust and the fire licked up the top surface of the burning smell. Serve. please :)
